The First Coast of Florida folks are planning a very exciting weekend for the Briggs/Salmond Family Reunion. We are honored to have been chosen to host the 2026 Family Reunion. Let’s hope and pray that everyone attends and enjoys the Charlotte, NC, sun in May. The reunion is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, which is May 21st-25th, 2026. Reservations have been made at the Embassy Suites Hilton Uptown Charlotte, 401 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28202. Please call 704-940-2517 to make your reservation. We have secured a block of 25 rooms at the rate of $189.00 per night. The reservation cutoff date is April 1, 2026. When making your reservation, please call directly to the Embassy Suites Hilton at 704-940-2517 and ask for the Briggs/Salmond Family Reunion. If you require a handicap-accessible room or wheelchair assistance, please inform the reservationist when making your reservation. Also, there will be a link on our Facebook Page. The hotel is a full-service hotel with all interior corridors. All rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, high-speed internet access, hair dryer, iron & lamp, board, and coffee maker. Parking is $35.00 per night; Additional amenities include an exercise room, guest laundry, pool, and hot tub. There is a full breakfast bar and restaurant. Uptown is the very heart of Charlotte, and there is a lot for every age. We are currently planning sightseeing, group visits, and fun activities for all. Finally, for planning purposes, we must pre-register since we are hosting this event from out of town and all functions must be catered. The cost for the reunion is: Adults/Teens $180.00 and Children aged 6-12 $100.00.
